I’m an ordinary woman who has spent seven decades simply doing the next thing.
Raised by loving parents and more cousins than I could count, I built my life on faith, hard work, and figuring things out as I went. My husband and I built our marriage on those same shared convictions, eventually raising seven children and welcoming nineteen grandchildren.
Over one hard decade in our thirties, we lost all four of our parents and our last two grandparents. I cared for three of our parents directly under our own roof—in a home that always felt too small for the weight of what it held. That season tested my endurance, but never my faith. I learned alongside the millions of women walking this road how adult daughters navigate grief and logistics at the same time. That experience led me to write my first book, Daughters of Naomi.
Along the way, I wore whatever hat was needed: stay-at-home mom, homeschooler, and CFO of my husband’s engineering firm. When an empty nest finally arrived, I stepped into real estate—honing my communication through Toastmasters and putting a lifetime of everyday experience to work.
Today, many in Houston know me as the Grandma House Buyer, helping families navigate elder transitions, downsizing, and property liquidation with dignity. Whether tending to a daughter’s heart or helping a family untangle a complicated estate, I’ve found that grace and practical wisdom belong together.
