In 1988, I was a young mother with three children under the age of six. I had already started home schooling my oldest child and my journey of thinking outside the box had begun. My girls started getting ear infections and I would take them to the doctor, get antibiotics and it would get better. However, my oldest daughter had multiple recurring ear infections and the doctor suggested getting tubes in her ears. We followed the suggestion but after the tubes, the cycle of more antibiotics continued with her.
